PAINT SYSTEM WARRANTY:
The lifetime-limited warranty is extended to the paint system of your therma-tech section. These sections, when installed for residential use, are warranted against deterioration of the paint system resulting in the section rusting through, for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns the home. Minor scratches and abrasions, which could occur in shipping or handling of the door, are not a factory defect. These paint system infractions must be touched up to maintain the lifetime warranty.
SECTION AND HARDWARE WARRANTY:
In addition to the paint system warranty, Westgate Door also offers a full one-year warranty from the purchase date by the original consumer purchaser. Under this warranty we will repair or supply new parts or hardware that have proven to be defective in material or workmanship. Further, a lifetime warranty is given to the original consumer purchaser for any garage door section that delaminates.
FIELD LABOR AND INSTALLATION WARRANTY LIMITATIONS:
Our warranty covers new materials as standardly manufactured by Westgate Door. We specifically exclude any responsibility or costs associated with field modifications of our product, painting, or on site labor to install any replacement parts. This warranty is extended to the original consumer purchaser of the garage door only, and is not transferable.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY:
We will not pay for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages caused by or resulting from a defective garage door section, parts, or hardware. Our warranty shall not extend to or cover deterioration due to rust resulting from damage to the garage door section caused by any and all accidents or casualties, vandalism, harmful fumes or foreign substances in the atmosphere. Nor will this warranty cover any physical damage after the garage door has left our plant. This warranty also will not cover or extend to any products that have been altered, processed, misused, or improperly handled, maintained, or installed.
PROPER PAINT MAINTENANCE REQUIRED BY THIS WARRANTY:
All installations must be monitored to assure that the paint surface has been kept free of harmful foreign substances. Normal weather conditions usually would dictate a cleaning of your door sections annually. Environments exposed to harsh conditions such as salt air or high humidity (above 85%) will require additional maintenance. These environments may require that the sections be cleaned more often than annually.
ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR DOOR:
Ask your installing dealer for installation instructions if you are considering doing any maintenance on your garage door.
WARNING – Only trained professionals should adjust the springs, cables, bottom brackets, or any part of the lifting mechanism. SEVERE INJURY OR EVEN DEATH can result if done incorrectly. Contact your installing dealer for your service requirements.
