Standard Hardware
Our commercial hardware packages consist of galvanized steel components to help protect against rust and corrosion.

Specialty Hardware
- Parking Gates
Parking Gates have to endure high cycle usage and require hardware that is reliable and built to last. Our Parking Gate hardware sets are customized to meet these needs. Horizontal low headroom double track provides smoother travel of large gate sections through the curves. Tracks are angle mounted to the wall with continuous angle for added strength and stiffness. Double end hinges and long stem rollers are supplied to handle the constant torque applied during repetitive use. Torsion springs are calculated for a minimum 100,000 cycle life and 5” drums reduce the number of turns required to load the springs. Cables are supplied with thimbles to prevent wear at the pivot point. These and other options are also available to further extend the durability, cycle life and noise dampening of these hardware sets.
- Wood Doors
There are many types of wood doors, some of which be quite heavy. Custom wood door hardware sets can incorporate heavy duty hinges, extra struts for reinforcement, foam astragal bottom weather seal and alternative fastners. Coarse thread lags or carriage bolts of differing lengths are available depending on the type of door.
- Man Doors
When space is limited, we can combine an exit door with an overhead door. Westgate has developed a kit to cut a man door into a commercial garage door. This can also be useful in building individually enclosed stalls in an underground parkade. Storage facilities can provide this option allowing single person access, while large scale access is available to store boats, RV’s or other large items. See our gallery for pictures of these doors.
- Carwash and Wash Bays
A carwash door is subject to constant backspray and repetitive use, for that reason we build hardware sets for carwash doors that combine the high cycle features of parking gate hardware with superior rust resistant parts. Some available features include; stainless steel cables, zinc plated solid shafts and couplers, sealed bearing nylon rollers and galvanized springs.
- Wind Loading
From prairie winds to jet engines, we can calculate the load on a door based on wind speeds. In turn, we can provide you with the proper reinforcement hardware for your door.

Galvanized Torsion Springs offer several key benefits over traditional oil tempered springs
- A Clean, Unified, Finished look. Galvanized torsion springs eliminate the gaudy black look of oil tempered springs and are more aesthetically pleasing as they match the rest of the garage door hardware.
- Reduced Installation and Handling Problems. Installers don’t have to deal with the dirty black mess caused by oil tempered springs. No filthy black smears on door sections, reduced clean up time and a tidier work truck.
- Rust and Corrosion Prevention. Spring wire is galvanized before it is wound, providing 100% coverage and offering better rust protection. Oil tempered springs sometimes start to rust even before they get installed, causing qualms with many homeowners over product quality.
- Durable and Resilient. Galvanized torsion springs have shown to be tougher and more fracture resistant than oil tempered springs reducing possible damage during shipping and handling while further extending the life of the spring.
Powder Coated Hardware
Overhead doors are being used in a wider variety of applications every day. From restaurants and bars to office spaces, an overhead door can increase aesthetic appeal and provide large scale access wherever it is needed. Custom powder coated hardware for any type of door can provide a professional finished look. With a wide array of powder colors available, hardware can be color matched to blend with the surroundings. In industrial applications, hardware can be powder coated in bright colors to help prevent damage from equipment or injury to people.
